Organizing in November

This is the perfect time of year to declutter all the holiday decoration. While you're putting Halloween up and taking Christmas down, this is a good time to see how a product held up in storage (or didn't). Acknowledge decoration that you didn't put out last year and probably won't this year.

Oh no did that ornament break, chunk it. I'm a little twisted where when my dog or kids break something, I get a little happy inside that they did the work for me of destroying something forcing me to get rid of something... I know, I know!

So this year I chunked a few Halloween bulbs that haven't been getting used, we also make sure the kids get full use of their costumes before and after so it's not waiting to be outgrown for the following year.

As for Christmas, I got rid of our tree a few years ago. A friend gave hers to us and well...cats. Then last year I came across a wonderful deal right before Christmas! At HEB a live tree was $7-BOOM! This year, I think I might attempt to do the same thing, otherwise the kids have a felt tree which works just fine.
